CHECK OUT WHAT WE'RE DOING WITH OUR PROGRAM
When it comes to living on the Oregon coast, water safety isn’t just an extracurricular activity — it’s an essential life skill. Lincoln County School District is pleased to share that a vital partnership with Newport Parks and Recreation has been reignited to bring swim lessons back to the community’s children.
On June 26, 2025 the Newport Aquatic Center participated in the World's Largest Swimming Lesson with pools all around the globe. Over the course of the day, our instructors helped to provide free swim lessons to over 70 participants of all ages in the community!
Throughout the month of November, we were able to offer all of our group and private swim lessons for free.
In a concentrated effort of instructors and public engagement, we offered free lessons and water safety instruction to 100 unique individuals!
